The History of St. Mary School
   Nearly 100 years ago, St. Mary Church was established and interest in a Catholic school to provide for the spiritual needs of the children became evident.  In 1948 Bishop Eustace approved Father Cosgrove's plan to purchase a building on Library Street, Williamstown, which was then used for the Post Office.  The building was renovated to include classrooms, a medical room, principal's office, library and cafeteria.  The school was blessed and dedicated to St. Mary of the Assumption on Sunday, October 2, 1949 and staffed by Dominican Sisters, who taught two hundred and forty-six children that year.  Felician Sisters served the school and parish with strong faith and loving dedication from 1965 to 1995.  In 1972 the idea of a new school was met with great enthusiasm and parishioners young and old united efforts to reach their goal.  A one story eight classroom school on Carroll Avenue with a library and offices was dedicated on September 19, 1976.  In 1986, eight additional classrooms and an all-purpose room were completed.  Today St. Mary School enrolls approx. 600 students from Pre-School through grade eight.  The expanded curriculum includes advances in technology, a science lab, and foreign language program.  St. Mary School is currently staffed by a competent, dedicated lay faculty committed to carrying out the mission of the Catholic Church.

    Take any bridge from Philadelphia to get onto 42 S.  Take 42 S to the AC Expressway. Take the AC Expressway East to Exit 38.  Bear Right onto Sicklerville Road.  Take Sicklerville Road to Main Street.  Make a left onto Main Street.  Take Main Street to Carroll Avenue.  St. Mary School will be on your right.

   Take 295 S until you reach 42 S.  Stay on 42S.  Take 42 S to the AC Expressway. Take the AC Expressway East to Exit 38.  Bear Right onto Sicklerville Road.  Take Sicklerville Road to Main Street.  Make a left onto Main Street.  Take Main Street to Carroll Avenue.  St. Mary School will be on your right.
